Listing Features

Organization Details

Individuals and Organizations can provide various details to help website users make better-informed decisions. The following are just some of the details that are available to all Users, regardless of their Listing Package.

  • Business and/or Users Name
  • A Full Featured Description Block
  • Email Address (Not publicly viewable)
  • Region
  • Location (Map / Driving Directions)
  • Open Hours
  • Related Listings (Links to Organization’s other Listings)
  • Tags
  • Categories

 

All Listings include a contact form so that people always have a way to reach you. In the interest of privacy, recipient email addresses are hidden.

Note: The email address you use to sign up for your New Mexico Domains account, will be the email used when people want to reach out to you. This email address can be changed at any time, by editing your account details.

Listings can have their address shown for quick reference. Additionally, that location will be shown on a map. People will be able to quickly get directions to your organization or get a quick look at where you are located.

Organizations can build  their reputation on New Mexico Domains by accumulating positive ratings and reviews from customers.  Ratings and Reviews are always moderated and can only be submitted by registered users of New Mexico Domains.

Listing owners can include an images and bring their own branding to their Listings. For those that have a Listing package including Personalized Listing Support, we can help you get your Logo/Headshot in place at no additional cost.

To help people easily reach you and to find you in search engines, below is some of the information you will be able to display. These items are actionable (ex. users can click-to-call) to make things even more convenient.

Links to Social Networks can be added to your Listing. When a link is added the name of the network and the corresponding icon is automatically added. If someone chooses to click on one of your Social Networks, that network’s website will open in a new browser tab, so users can stay on your Listing.

Listing owners can include a link to one of their online videos (e.g. YouTube), which in turn embeds the video into their Listing.

Calendly offers an easy, no-cost solution that allows your current and potential customers to schedule an appointment with you. These appointments can sync with your Google, Office 365, Outlook.com, Outlook or Apple iCloud calendar. It can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes to fully set up and test Calendly for one user, depending on your technical level.

For those that have Calendly set up and a qualifying Listing package, they can easily add the booking functionality to their Listing by simply copying and pasting in their Calendly profile link.

Note: For those that have a Listing package including Personalized Listing Support, we can help you get your Calendly link added to your Listing, or answer questions, at no additional cost. If you would like to hire us to assist with the actual set up of your account, you can hire us by scheduling a Calendly appointment.

Those with a qualifying Listing package will be able to link directly to their own website, from their Listing. This allows your organization to get even more exposure and run visitors through your own sales funnel if desired.

Image Galleries are essential for showcasing your work products, services, and more. Up to 6 images can be uploaded to your gallery, for those with a qualifying Listing package.

Your image gallery also serves as your Listings cover image. This is the area at the top of your Listing that helps to quickly showcase what your Listing is about.

According to a survey by Blue Fountain Media, 81% of internet users think less of a business if the website is not updated, and 39% would think twice about using a product or service if the website is not user friendly and modern.

Some other questions to ask are:

  • Has your New Mexico business evolved and your website doesn’t convey your current image or message?
  • Is your site not ranking on Google?
  • Has your content strategy changed? Would you like to do more publishing, events, and promotions, on social media?
  • Has your competition moved forward? Are people in your business discussing different topics and questions these days?
  • Has your site fallen behind with design trends? The direction today is toward graphics and video to capture your visitor’s attention.

Search Prominence
Your Listing will appear above all standard (i.e. non-Featured) Listings in search. The only Listings that are given more prominence in search, are Promoted Listings.

Your Listing will appear on the  Home Page, a custom Regional page, and a custom category page, for a time, giving it greater exposure.

For those with a qualifying Listing package, we will work with you, one-on-one, to make your Listing the best it can be.

Those looking for a listing can easily find exactly what they’re looking for, using various search and filter options. Some examples of search filters are region, address (location), skills, places, and more.

We encourage Listing owners to fill out their Listings as completely as possible, in order to extend their reach and get as many views as possible.

Note: Searches are Category Specific. So if you are viewing “Arts and Crafts” the search pertains only to that Category.

 

Listing Fields

Title

This is a required field.

In 52 characters or less, add a Title to help draw attention to or identify a product, a business or a brand. Include any of your keywords if they fit naturally, as this is good for SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

e.g. Custom Made Adobe Fireplaces

This is an optional, but highly-recommended field.

In 68 characters or less, add a Tagline to help draw attention to or identify a product, a business or a brand. Include any of your remaining keywords if they fit naturally, as this is good for SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

e.g. Our Award Winning Handcrafted Native American Jewelry

This is a required field.

Using a minimum of 120 characters, add a Description to highlight a product, a business or a brand. Include any of your remaining keywords if they fit naturally. as this is good for SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

This is a required field.

Categories are critical to the success of presenting your Listing throughout the website (e.g. Category pages) and having it show up accurately in search results.

If your Category isn’t listed, please select any Category to get started and let us know of any Categories we can add to the platform for you.

This is a required field.

Photos must be 600KB or smaller and for best results, should have square dimensions and be at least 160 × 160 pixels.

This is an optional, but recommended field.

Your image gallery can also serve as your cover image, when viewing your full listing page, so it’s important for your images to be high-quality.

Upload up to 6 images that are 600KB or smaller and for best results, gallery images should be 1980 x 594 pixels and have a landscape orientation (i.e. wider than taller).

If gallery images are not added, we will apply a default cover image with our branding. Let us know if we can help in this area.

This is an optional, but recommended field.

You can upload a video to services like YouTube or Vimeo and paste the link here.

We append “REQUIRED” to each field label when the field is required, along with some styling to make it stand out.

This is an optional field.

If you use Calendly to book appointments or would like to start, you can enter your profile link in this field, which in turn, places a Book Appointment icon on your Listing.

Calendly offers a FREE account to get started.

Location

This is an optional, but recommended field.

It is only required if you wish to be located on various maps throughout the platform, and/or provide driving directions to potential customers.

The Region you specify for your Listing will give people the general vicinity of your organization’s location.

This is an optional, but recommended field.

Each listing has Click-to-call functionality and your phone number will also be displayed as text. It’s important to list your phone number accurately and consistently across all online platforms, for SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

This is an optional field and is only required if you wish to have email sent to an address other than the address you used when creating your PetFinders account.

Most users can ignore this field.

This is an optional, but recommended field.

Enter your website, without the “http://” or “https://” portion, as we will add that for you automatically.

e.g. newmexicodomains.com

This is an optional, but recommended field to help get more views on your organization’s online presence.

Regions are critical to the success of presenting your Listing throughout the website (e.g. Regional pages) and having it show up accurately in search results.

For your Region, choose the major city that is closest to the location of your organization.

If your Region isn’t listed, please select any Region to get started and let us know of any Regions we can add to the platform for you.

This is an optional, but recommended field, that is only required if you wish to provide your organization’s hours of operation.

Filling in your Open Hours is a good idea, as that information can help reduce repeated inquiries as to when your organization is available.

If you have other Listings that are currently published on New Mexico Domains, you can specify those here.

This is an optional field.

Tags are like keywords and are potentially important to having your Listing show up accurately in search results.

Specifying Tags that accurately portray your organization can be the difference in landing that perfect home for your adoptable pet.
